We’ve teamed up with our neighbors at Suay, a woman-owned sew shop here in LA, to produce these breathable, washable, adjustable masks using our upcycled hand block prints and their cotton remnants.
Designed by Suay in accordance with CDC guidelines, our non-medical grade masks feature linen exterior, cotton lawn lining, and cotton lawn pocket for a replaceable filter. Soft elastic binding earloops with adjustable rubber stoppers and an in-seam nose wire make for an overall comfortable, secure fit.
All mask profits directly fund Suay's food bank initiative, which feeds over 200 garment workers and their families each week. Follow along here.

Sizing: SMALL fits XS-M head sizes. This is the same size as all past runs. LARGE fits M-XL head sizes.
- Care: Hand wash for longest elastic life, or machine wash cold gentle cycle; lay flat to dry. Do not iron.

Process
To make our block printed fabric, each design is traced onto a wooden slab, which then is carved by hammer and chisel into a printing block. The block is then printed meticulously by hand using soft, AZO-free, non toxic pigment.
Variation in printing & color are hallmarks of hand block printing and dyeing in small batches.
Care
Machine wash cold gentle cycle with like colors.
Lay flat to dry or tumble dry low.
Iron on appropriate setting if needed.
