LA STUDIO WORKSHOP 2: JUNE 6th
Join Block Shop founders Hopie and Lily Stockman at their airy Los Angeles studio for an immersive day exploring the art of hand block printing using traditional wood block printing techniques.
We’ll start by teaching you the basic principles of Block Shop pattern design. Then we’ll roll up our sleeves and teach you how to block print using wooden blocks we designed, on paper made for us in Jaipur from recycled cotton textile scraps.
Delicious lunch from DTLA Cheese will be provided. Participants have the option to have Block Shop handle framing and shipping of your finished artwork in custom floated, shadow-box frames from Simply Framed (+ $105 / print). No printing experience required, we welcome all backgrounds!
Limit of 14 students. Non-refundable.
