The overlapping “Kumquats " pattern with its pointy edges was loosely based on Lois Mailou Jones' early tropical textiles from the 1930s. We had a small, miraculous kumquat tree in the Block Shop parking lot which inspired us to find beauty in the mundane, and we launched a series of patterns and prints in homage. The “Sunrise " color way is fresh, airy and optimistic.
