CARE

Because of the nature of our natural dye and printing process, slight color and pattern variations are to be expected. We employ Bagru village women –especially widows and women without the traditional financial support of a husband– for all our hemming and stitching, which they do in their own homes on hand-powered sewing machines. As a result, somewhat irregular stitching is part of the unique character of Block Shop scarves.

All our scarves are gently washed and ironed in Cambridge, Massachusetts, before we send them to you. Should you wish to wash your scarf or get the wrinkles out from continual use, wash in cold water with gentle soap. Air dry flat. Iron on low setting if desired. 25% Indian silk, 75% Indian cotton.
