Our “Kumquats” in a larger scale makes the expressionistic citrus especially bold and fun. The overlapping “Kumquats” pattern with its pointy edges was loosely based on Lois Mailou Jones’ early tropical textiles from the 1930s. We had a small, miraculous kumquat tree in the Block Shop parking lot which inspired us to find beauty in the mundane, and we launched a series of patterns and prints in homage. This nighttime colorway is our more alluring, moodier riff on the beloved citrus pattern.

Our wall coverings are exquisite digital reproductions of our hand blocked designs, printed by Connecticut-based Twenty2 on the finest quality paper, using eco-conscious techniques in every step of the process.
