Ama: a love letter to the most elegant math problem, an exercise in new ways to confine and create space, to coax flat planes into curves.
This small tote evokes a fluid, swinging sort of grace. A perfectly proportioned hand carry bucket that widens gradually to form an undulating swooped top edge, featuring circular handles and an interior drop pocket with zipper and card slot.
Named to honor the Ama free divers of Japan, those who made their lives of the sea. Celebrating ancestral knowledge passed lovingly between generations, measured breath, fierce capacity balanced by gentle gesture.
