Job Description 

The Sales Associate will help the manager / team members oversee the new Block Shop retail store and assist customers in having the best possible experience.  In this role, you’ll be the friendly face that greets customers, guides them through their purchases, and helps build lasting relationships with the great people that come through our doors!  The ideal candidate for this role will engage customers and resolve any concerns while creating a warm, inspiring experience at Block Shop.  They will also be able to facilitate packing and shipping products during peak holiday season. This position will be part-time, 1-4 days a week depending on the time of year.  We can’t wait to meet you! 

Responsibilities:

CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • Welcome customers to the store and maintain a welcoming, tidy atmosphere
  • Ensure excellent sales service that leads people wanting to return again and again 
  • Assist customer needs and provide assistance on products with respect and kindness 
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues 
  • Process POS purchases and returns sufficiently and accurately 
  • Maintain inventory and restock merchandise on sales floor 
  • Work with team to achieve store sales goal 
  • Represent the brand with professionalism and enthusiasm 
  • Assist with packing and shipping holiday orders efficiently

Qualifications:

  • One to two years  in a retail or customer service environment
  • A commitment to delivering top notch, personalized customer service
  • A love for the brands and categories BST carries 
  • A critical and elevated sense of personal style that resonates with the BST brand
  • Innate curiosity to explore and understand a growing business
  • Self-motivated, scrappy, self-starter
  • Sense of humor, upbeat attitude
