About
We’re in love with this wild chartreuse color way, a nod to the Shakers’ unexpected use of bold colors – yellow in particular – at the Hancock Shaker Village.
Drawing from the beloved “Tree of Life” by celebrated Shaker artist Hannah Cohoon (1854), created during the Shakers' mid-19th-century Era of Manifestations, we reimagined her visionary drawing through the language of block printing.
Subtle Block Shop motifs appear in the dotted details and intricate line work of the fruit and foliage, bringing together two craft traditions separated by centuries, but united by a shared belief in beauty and utility.
